4th National ICTs in Basic Education Congress

Organized jointly by the Foundation for Information Technology Education and Development (FIT-ED), the Department of Education (DepEd), the University of the Philippines College of Education (UPCEd), and the Ateneo de Manila University, the 4th National ICTs in Basic Education will be held from 27 to 28 October 2010 at the Henry Lee Irwin Theater, Ateneo de Manila University, Quezon City.

 

The theme for the 4th Congress is “Creating Opportunities for Better Pupil Learning”. The overall goal of the 4th Congress is to provide a forum for stakeholders to discuss key issues and share good practice models of ICT-supported innovations at the elementary school level within the framework of providing quality basic education for all. Local and international experts will speak on focus areas: Technology Leadership; Curriculum and Pedagogy, Digital Content and Distance Learning.

 

Around 500 teachers and teacher educators, education policymakers & managers, education technologists and researchers, and members of public, private and non-government institutions working in the field of ICTs in basic education are expected to attend the 4th Congress.
