Philip Wong is an Associate Professor at the National Institute of Education (NIE) in Singapore. He is also currently the Divisional Director of Academic Computing and Information Services responsible for overseeing ICT development and the use of e-learning at NIE.

Dr. Wong taught at secondary and junior college levels before joining the Institute in 1980. He obtained his PhD in Curriculum and Instructional Systems from the University of Minnesota, USA.

Dr. Wong has participated in and led a number of funded research and evaluation projects and has published widely in a number of refereed journals. He also acts as a consultant to various local and international IT in education projects including UNESCO, Temasek Foundation, and ASEAN Foundation. He is responsible for the design and creation of the learning scenarios in Classroom of the Future showcase (COTF Live!), a project in collaboration with Microsoft, Infocomm Development Authority, Singapore, and NIE. He is currently evaluating ICT in education initiatives in Laos, Cambodia, and the Philippines under the World Links program. He is also an advisor to the Microsoft World Wide Future Schools initiative, the Innovative Schools Program, and is the advisor for the future schools projects in Canada and Qatar. He also acts as a pedagogical and research consultant to one of the Future Schools in Singapore.
